Happy Early Thanksgiving!
What will you make this week be about?
Some will choose to focus on who gets to (or has to) cook, where the gathering is held, the attitudes of who will be there, our own anxieties and stresses, the food, the alcohol, or any number of things.
In the end, is it really about any of that?
What we put our attention on is where our mental energy will go.
Focusing on what is not perfect or right will only make the brain see more of what is not perfect or right.
Our gatherings can be about showing love and gratitude for all THAT IS.
We can shift the negative or tense energy in our bodies to an energy that feels better and lighter.
This can be done by practicing gratitude.
Feeling love and gratitude for all THAT IS.
This practice is life-changing especially when we do this with those who have hurt or wronged us.
We can choose to love someone even if they don’t love us the way we want in return.
We can choose to love and be grateful for someone even if they let us down.
We can choose to love and be thankful for others when they don’t agree with us.
It’s okay.
We can choose to let it go.
And choose love.
On purpose.
For us. And for them.
More love in the world is a beautiful thing.
